Why CBD is not the same as Marijuana?
Is CBD from the marijuana plant? Actually no! CBD is a component of the hemp plant, which is different in several ways from Marijuana. First off, hemp is grown primarily for the oil of seeds, which contain a healthy amount of the fatty acid GLA. Hemp is also grown for the stalk, which has several uses in textiles, paper production, and building materials. Secondly, hemp does not produce THC, the main component of Marijuana which gets you high. Thirdly, and this might sound obvious, but hemp produces high levels of CBD, or Cannabidiol. Specifically, the hemp producing high levels of CBD is known as PCR hemp, also known as Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich hemp.
What will CBD do for me?
As previously posted in the article," Top 3 Benefits of CBD," many of our customers are using CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, for pain, anxiety, and sleep disorders. When you use a CBD tincture sublingually, meaning under the tongue, the onset of the CBD's effects will come on in seconds to minutes as opposed to hours. One article we found on CBD Origin, which agrees with the personal experiences of the author, explains that sublingual CBD tinctures will take full effect in about 15 minutes. The effects of CBD oil, when ingested sublingually or orally, can be described simply as a balanced feeling. Many of our customers agree that when they use CBD consistently, with peak experiences at around 2 weeks in most individuals, that they feel more relaxed, centered, and even report better sleep. On the popular forum website Reddit, one Redditor comically named, "JeamBim," explained his CBD experience as the following:
"CBD doesn't feel like anything, it's how it DOESN'T feel.
CBD doesn't feel like that nagging pain in my back on the left side. It doesn't feel like that point between the joints in my foot that has been bugging me for years. It doesn't feel like the self-consciousness I often have in social situations. It doesn't feel that voice in my head wondering how things will go wrong. It doesn't feel like the anxiety that is making it difficult to make decisions.
I don't feel CBD at all :)" - JeamBim, Reddit
Is CBD Safe?
CBD is one of safest possible supplements that you can take. We know this because scientists, along with the FDA, have attempted to find out how much CBD it takes to reach an "overdose," and they have not been able to determine any amount which leads to significant side-effects. That is not to say that some people may experience a bit more sleepiness if they use more CBD than we recommend. However, this "side-effect" seems to be especially beneficial to those customers who suffer from anxiety or a lack of quality sleep due to the stress of everyday life.
What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
One of the main goals that CBD of Spokane tries to do is explain the safety aspects of our CBD products. One way to do this is through the use of Certificates of Analysis. These are laboratory results from third-party testing labs which have no financial interest in the CBD products they are testing, and thus provide consumers with unbiased reports on what is in their CBD products. These reports give the complete make-up of your CBD products; showing the potency, pesticide-levels, terpenes, heavy metals, solvents, and microbial content of the product you are purchasing. These are extremely important when it comes to buying CBD. Especially if you need to use a THC-Free product, you can scan our QR codes which will give you access to the lab reports showing that you can use CBD and still pass a UA (Urinalysis).
